Murrieta Dollars for Scholars is dedicated to empowering students in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District to pursue higher education by providing college scholarships to graduating seniors. As an active member of Scholarship America, a reputable non-profit organization with 1,100 chapters nationwide, we strive to enhance access to quality education. We extend our sincere gratitude to the community for its ongoing support and engagement in this meaningful endeavor.

Recognizing the pivotal role education plays in navigating today's complex world, Murrieta Dollars for Scholars emphasizes the urgency of overcoming rising educational costs that may hinder access to higher learning. By contributing to our cause, our local community can collectively emphasize the importance of education beyond high school.

Over the past three decades, we have proudly awarded over $3.2 million in scholarships to more than 10,000 graduates of the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. We are thrilled to embark on the upcoming season, dedicated to assisting local seniors in realizing their dreams of higher education.

Seniors with a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.25 at the end of the first semester are invited to apply. Whether pursuing a two-year community college, four-year university, technical, trade, or vocational school, we encourage all eligible students to seize this opportunity.

Scholarships are merit-based, considering academic achievements, accomplishments, and activity involvement. It is essential to note that not all applicants are guaranteed a scholarship, as awards are competitive.

Important information for applicants: Responding to essays is mandatory to be considered for any scholarship. There is no specified length requirement or word limit for either essay. Additionally, applicants are cautioned against applying for scholarships they do not meet the criteria for, as this will result in automatic disqualification from all scholarship opportunities.

Murrieta Dollars for Scholars is committed to fostering a community that values and invests in the educational aspirations of its students. Together, let us continue to make a positive impact on the future by supporting and encouraging the pursuit of higher education.
